Our Vajrayogini, is one of a retinue of Dakinis who are deities of transcendence, symbols of divine wisdom. She is depicted as wrathful; but it is important to remember that in the Eastern traditions wrathful deities are most often powerful protectors. Generally, wrath is the Buddha’s compassion cutting through negativity. She is 7 1/2 inches of beautiful copper and gold, with traditional Tibetan paint on her face, hair, demons, khatvanga, purbha, and flames (no gemstones). She dances in the Alida Asana within a ring of flames. She has three eyes and a protruding belly. In her left hand she holds the kapala; in her right she carries the purbha. The Khatvanga, a ritual staff, is carried in the crook of her left arm. The statue is a quality piece suitable for practice. $425.00
