Bone Turtle

This is a symbol of longevity and prosperity in the Zen Buddhist traditions. In the Vedic tradition, the turtle is a manifestation of Vishnu. Carved bone turtles are strung on a 23-inch cord with stones and beads as shown. From left to right:
