TRISHNA JEWELRY designs Jewish iconography. Note: Vedic iconography, as well as Buddhist and Christian, share many icons. The Hamsa, a hand in the pose of "fear not" in the Buddhist and Vedic traditions, is shared and shown here. The "star of David" is also a Vedic star. We group the hand, or Hamsa, and the star under the Jewish tradition because it is more popular as a Jewish icon than in the others.

SIX-POINTED STAR

"The six pointed star represents the six days of the week with the seventh day (Sabbath) represented by the hexagon cradled in the center. It is called the "shield of King David" and represents both completeness (the seven days of the week) and protection (the esoteric wisdom of balancing work and rest). The six-pointed star is made of two triangles. One triangle upward representing the "masculine" which is our connection to the Divine. The second triangle points downward representing the "feminine" which is our relationship to each other and to creation. The two triangles together represent harmony, balance, and ultimate unity."
