	Pewter Birdwoman! There is controversy about this image, modeled after an ancient image. Some say she is a snake goddess; some say she is a bird goddess.

PEWTER BIRDWOMAN

Our Birdwoman is 1 3/4-inch tall. Little is known about this piece, and we were told that the designer has discontinued her. We bought all stock, and intend to enjoy her until she is no more! She appears to be fashioned in the likeness of the ancient praying birdwoman . . .

Our goddess, right, is companioned with our Joy-dangle, Rectang-dangle, and Round Dangle, the latter of which are Hill Tribe silver!

FEATHERS

In general, we are not choosing to take on a line of Native American pieces, because there are so many beautiful pieces done by Native Americans and we feel that is the ethical choice to make. However, feathers are symbols in so many traditions, including many of the Goddess traditions, and we are generally choosing to do feathers in a manner that is not at all like the Native Americans. We found one older necklace at an estate sale and took it apart, as you will see below, and these conditions will be the only time we choose to design items that are in fact, very possibly Native American.
