PYRITE
Pyrite is often confused with Marcasite, and
the two are related, as are Diamonds and Graphite.
They have the same composition but are structured
differently. Marcasite is not really
suitable for jewelry because it tends to be
crumbly. There is a jewelry trade named
Marcasite which is adds to the confusion, because
the gemstone used is actually pyrite.

HEMATITE
We use Hematite 99% of the time, not Hematine,
though Hematine is made from Hematite, but is
ground and reformed to create beads easily in
wonderful shapes. Jes' call us old
fashioned, but we like the stuff as it comes from
the earth!
